Anytime you hire a company overseas or out of the country you worry that you might get ripped off. I can assure you that Melted Pixels is not a company that's going to take advantage of you. In fact, Melted Pixels has consistently gone above and beyond what I've asked them to do and often throws in small, but useful, bits of code to improve upon the ideas I've hired them to code.

I have been using Melted Pixels for over a year now for all of my ecommerce stores and Melted Pixels are incredibly fast and efficient.  Melted Pixels have done custom coding in JavaScript, PHP/mySQL, and AJAX and there has never been a single thing I've wanted on my websites that they haven't come through with. 

I know that if there is an issue with code they made in the past they will generally fix bugs for free and they are fast to respond once the bugs are found.  I would highly recommend Melted Pixels for any website work you have - especially if you're looking for custom programming. I will continue to use them and I'm very satisfied with their work.
